Meet Visiting Fulbright Scholar Perparim Ameti:
I am a visiting Fulbright scholar at the Center for Urban and Regional Analysis (CURA), here at OSU. It is a great pleasure being here for one semester and I am extremely grateful for the support provided by the Fulbright program. I am working with Prof. Daniel Sui on a comparative study of different geocoding methods and gazetteers, as well as in the development of a more robust national gazetteer model. I am an assistant professor and chair of the geodetic department at University of Pristina, Kosovo. My research interest lies in GIS/GPS integration, especially in the development of national register and inventory systems. My other research interests include GPS and navigation. I currently serve as a national delegate to Commission No. V of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG). I am also very active in several other national organizations. Read More →
We have just been officially informed by the Association of American Geographers (AAG) that this year's AAG Lifetime Achievement Award goes to our own distinguished colleague and mentor Professor Kevin Cox.
